As Hammer opens Propellerhead's Reason to a wide range of new application, it often generates questions about its capabilites... Here are answers to some of those questions! |
Q. Will Hammer let me record audio clips? |
A. Unfortunately no! The actual Hammer release is strictly live-oriented, intended for processing audio streams in realtime. |
Q. Can I record audio clips into the Reason sequencer? |
A. Once again, no. Same as above. |
Q. I can't use my audio card both in Reason and Hammer. Why? |
A. Probably your audio card is not a multi-client one: that means that just one software can use it. A possible solution is to use a virtual driver for one of the two softwares (ASIO4ALL turned out to be the best with Hammer). |
Q. I'm running Reason and Hammer. Why is the latency so high? |
A. To use Hammer in a live situation you need state-of-the-art audio card driver(s). Please check out the hardware requirements. |
